      Property: Bukalong
      “Bukalong” is approximately 16km north of the Bombala township on the Gunningrah Road. It is a 1000 ha property consisting of both granite and basalt soil types. Main enterprises consist of a self-replacing merino flock with the cast for age sheep joined to a white suffolk. The property also runs an Angus cattle breeding enterprise.

      Landscape

      Undulating, low hills with gently to moderate grades , typically 5-15%. Occasional periods of saturation after extended rainfall events; not prone to flooding. Altitude 740m.

      Vegetation

      Snow gum (E. pauciflora), Ribbon Gum (E.viminalis) and Candlebark (E. rubida) grassy woodland

      Summary Morphology
      Acidic, texture contrast soil with a yellow brown coloured, moderately structured light clay subsoil. The A horizon is a grey brown, unbleached, weakly structured heavy loam.
